Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th December 1991. He is the child of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. His father is Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. In 2010 he graduated of Sanderson High School and furthered to Wake Forest University where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics in 2015. James was initially known by his character on the reality show's Bachelorette's star. In 2020, he was chosen to be the next bachelor in season 25, becoming the initial African American male lead which was later aired in 2021. James would be a perfect match for this role as he's tall, handsome and hilarious. The show was over when he decided to choose Rachael Krkconnell to pursue an affair with her. In the season 30 (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, James competed alongside famous dancing star Arnold. James along with Arnold finished 12th place.
