Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The only child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. When she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land the leading roles in numerous shows on television. Her critically acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the actress. Alexandra was involved in a variety of important international and national projects over the years. One of these is the British biographical film Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and French historical mini-series Napoleon. She was also an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as The Cannes Film Festival.
